@Daniel Rutherford Lovely roses! You have a good number of them there. I also love your planting combinations.
@Voyagerxp They look good in their first year, beautiful roses.
I was in our local garden centre today, they had many Austins and also other roses, so I had the opportunity to compare scents and looks. My favourite was Young Lycidas, unfortunately, it doesn't fit my colour scheme. I also liked both Kew gardens and Tottering-by-gently, I want one of those for a spot in my garden where I want something informal in white, yellow or apricot, they are both good and I don't know which one to choose. And I liked Desdemona, I am sure I will buy her in November.
They also had The Albrighton rambler and I now think my mystery climber is not Albrighton although I am quite confused because many details of their plant were different than most of the photos available online (lots of thorns close to the flowers, for example). Maybe because it's young it's not a representative plant.
Gorgeous roses everyone, @Daniel Rutherford love your Minerva and properly red LDB (I’m green with envy!). Back at the Hot Hacienda from Hell (well, only peaked at 40 today and thankfully it cooled a bit earlier than yesterday)...
Golden Celebration is looking peachy, but at least it’s not gone crispy:
Lady of Shallot - much less crispy today but very much in the pink:
Julia Child being true to her other name, an Absolutely Fabulous trooper:
And Warm Welcome holding up pretty well:
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
Mountbatten, I was expecting it to be more orange than its current yellow.
Ive also contacted Peter Beales to name this rose for me.
I bought it last year from Hampton Court and it really hasn't settled in well so want to know the name to make sure I'm looking after it right. Any suggestions.
Great photos everyone. Love your Hyde Park @Bijdezee.
@Voyagerxp - I had Summer Song. Gorgeous colour and scent but in my garden it wanted to grow tall and thin, didn’t repeat well and the colour of the flowers didn’t age well, so it went. I’m sure it must be good in other soils though.
These were taken last night after the rain. My Desdemona planted as a bare root this year is gorgeous, have totally fallen in love with it. Scepter’d Isle is another Rose I’m in love with.💕
Life's tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.

I was just looking on another site and saw two familiar photos. Then realised I was seeing your Crown Princess Margareta photos!
I post mine in the same way

Felicitie Parmentier, once blooming Alba.
Maid Marian
Crepescule with Betty Corning - both vigorous growers but Betty has to be cut back so as not to swamp the rose.
Hybrid Tea ‘Alexander’, need 🕶 for this one!
And a Floribunda called ‘White Fox’:
