Hubby said have you got the App for shipping info. You can follow where they are going. He can do it with planes flying over.

Thanks that’ll be interesting  ... but i don’t really follow the individual ships ... it’s the forecast of the weather conditions in the shipping areas and around our coastal waters that I love ... you can follow the map in your head and it’s like poetry. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shipping_Forecast

That’s interesting Dove. Worth watching from time to time.
i had a quick look at the one Hubby put on for you - have a look at the shipping traffic around Singapore 😳. It’s a wonder they don’t sink each other.

It’s pretty busy in the English Channel too 😲.  I was thinking how Pa would’ve loved that app. From his room in The Lovely Home he could see ships sailing up and down the Suffolk coast ... he’d have loved to know where they’d come from and where they were bound for and what their cargo was.

Ain’t technology amazing?  It would have been my Fathers birthday today b. 1906. He would also have been fascinated with shipping movements around Ulladulla, my home town. 😄

Not really Dove. I left there when I was 16 to go to Sydney to seek my fortune 😏, ending up living in the nurses quarters as a student nurse because it was so hard to find accommodation on low wages. That was in 1956.

That’s the year we moved to Suffolk from Bedfordshire ... as far as relatives were concerned we might as well have been moving to Outer Mongolia 😆 I started school the following year 😉
