Mum and Dad were visiting my uncle in the care home. “Who’s that?” he asked, pointing at his wife. “That’s Olive,” said Mum, “you’ve been married 60 years.”
“Hmm,” he said, “I don’t think much of her.”

I've heard more than enough about the latest royal baby.

I saw it on BBC website, I know as much as I need to know already.
I care neither more , nor less than about him then about any other baby born on the planet, few of whom will have such lavish expense spent upon them.

Lovely for them and of no consequence to me.

as with every other  baby born today. I wish them no harm, but as was once said in this very forum, " I couldn't give a flying ferret's fart"

Shame about the foot Jo.  Hope it heals soon and doesn't turn nasty.   Last Monday ourplumber turned up to fix 2 outside taps.  He put his big box of tricks down on the large step outside our door and it promptly fell over and bashed my foot which was in a slipper.   Thought nothing of it till I needed to walk a distance on it later and it creaked a bit.  Just thought it was normal (for me) creaking.   Went to put socks on the other night cos it was flipping cold and blow me if the toe isn't swollen, purple, black and blue.

What I want to know is why just that toe and why so long to go technicolour?

Bloody football on TV now and OH is taking advantage of the in-laws being here to watch it in the living room.   I might have a very early night!

Oh yes - royal babies and nearly all others are of no personal interest to me but I'm pleased for Harry and Megan and hope he has a happy life - not a given, even with all the dosh.

The baby is male and healthy. I'm mildly curious about it's name but will probably promptly forget it. That's all any of us needs to know.

In fairness to Harry, he has made it clear for some time that he doesn't want the child to be in the limelight.  It's the press / broadcast media who are determined to get it as front page news.

They’ll probably go on to have more, so more cars, more jet setting around the world, more pollution.
I expect the Cambridges will want another soon.
