Yay! 1st March - we are in Herts
  • I thought our dog had driven all our frogs away, but yesterday I saw three frogs in the pond clasping one another at the base of the pond which I think means mating / producing spawn!

Lots of frog spawn in the pond this morning, same time as last year Yay!!!
Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • Not a drop or should that be a clump of spawn, nothing.  So disappointed.  However we are hoping to see some newts soon and then the dreaded mosquito larvae will probably rear up from the depth of the pond.

First tadpole swimming around today, nibbling at dock leaves we chucked in.

Not a blob of spawn yet in my very new pond. Mind I'm still working round it so perhaps that's why. The birds are using it though at last!
