  • I'd say washing pots does count as I am sure you were outside when you did them AnniD, preparing for or clearing up from using them.

I sowed 20+ plug grown beetroot and 10 radish seedlings in the veggie patch, cleared MORE blanket weed from the pond and tied more clematis shoots to the support strings I have added to the almost dead weeping willow tree.

Hi AnniD, I've just mixed up vinegar and water in equal amount and will spray everywhere see if that helps. I'm hoping someone will be able to advise me of something to stop them.

I potted on 5 tiny Morning Glory's - a double pink one which might be interesting if they survive. Also did a tray of Lobelia, a lilac one. I then found that two overwintered fuchsias were in fact 3 small plants in one pot and 2 in the other so now have 5, which will be very handy for my big Front Door Trough. Temp hit 19.3 by 5 pm so have high hopes for tomorrow. On the downside, found that something is eating the new shoots on my rescued Clematis 'Armandii', suspect snails so have stuck copper tape around the berberis branches it's tied to.

Been redesigning the front lawn, another half a day should get it finished but it wont be tomorrow as I'm off to Secondborn's to tidy up for her.  Popped to David Austins for some rose food and Ashwoods for a browse and a scone.  All in all a good day.

I'm gradually getting round weeding the beds. This one is nearly done, needs edging.

    Greenhouse is lovely, Pam.

    Mine is fairly full.

Had to give everything a good drench- the rose was wilting and the Pulmonaria.. it’s so dry already!

Re potted five types of herbs. Built a small wall with hand sized stones around my tree stump, and drilled a few test holes in it to see just what may work as planting opportunities. Then set to weeding between slabs big job that lasted the rest of the morning. Back couldn't take any more after that.

Although my day was spent at work my other half has made a start on taking up some daffs.  Just checked in my potting shed green shoots all the way of various veg and flower seedlings.  I risked the last few day with my onion and beetroot seedlings outside. they seem to be loving the late morning sunshine and heat
Courgettes are looking good under the bell jars im keeping them under wraps as i can see an army of slugs and snails making a bee line for those juicy fresh leaves.
Roll on weekend more to follow i'
