    Tried to do some potting on but it's that wind out the compost was being blown everywhere. They say the weekend will be better fingers crossed.

    Did go to allotment this morning put cloche's back on onion sets to keep the birds off noticed a few have started to grow.

    In the poly tunnel the Marigold and carrot seed has started to germinate, sowed some Bronze Fennel and more spring onion "white Lisbon" just do about ten seeds in a 3" pot every week or so its enough for us.

    Turned compost heap and had a general tidy round pulled out a few weeds and pottered about just enjoying it as you do.

    Too wet to do anything at mo. Did have a tour of my Sister’s veg raised bed and veg pots - coming along nicely. Need to sow some more seeds this weekend - only 1/6 of my sweetcorn have germinated so need to do more of those plus start the peas and beans.

    @Gardengirl.. just a 6 x 4 for the allotment from here:

    Lots of other sellers on line I shopped around, prices are all much the same size for size but the specifications differ considerably, I did look locally but on line was half the price.

    Just in from a whole afternoon in garden. Sowed peas, beans, carrots, sunflowers and lemon basil into pots plus general weeding/pottering/fiddling. Moved my potted perennial sweet pea against the fence and tied onto canes - it’s quite tall already. Oh and I had a few half or old packets of flower seeds so I have sprinkled those to underplant a few climbers and small gaps in the rockery - will see what comes up.

    Yes, at last. Was a bit warmer and drier so pottered about, tidying up. Dug up a hardy fuschia 'Riccatonii' which was in the wrong place and potted this up for the school garden I look after. Also dug up a dead hebe and pondered what to put in its place. OH cut the lawns.

    Cold here! Had a good tidy up, cleaned the decking, moved some pots around, gave everything a good soak as so dry! Hauled some buckets of mulchy stuff up to the new border, dug over a compacted area of soil ready for a raised raspberry bed and threw some manure and compost in. Now back in with a cuppa and cake! 😀
