I weeded my newly planted flowerbed under the washing line. Amazed at the sheer quantity of small weeds, most of which I don't recognise. Did find 3 or 4 tiny seedlings of Gaura which I've labelled and just watered. Picked more asparagus for dinner.

Ive spotted why your lawn is so immaculate, its doubling as a putting green😁 My OH would be green with envy.

I potted on my tomato and zinnia seedlings in the lounge. I am jealous of your rudbeckia seedlings Mr Mow. Mine have not germinated in 2 to 3 weeks. Time to chuck the compost in the border and try round two perhaps . Your array of seeds and cuttings is something else. Never thought to take margarite cuttings it will be on this year's to do list to rescue a woody specimen.

I had another workout. I replaced the aquatic plants I divided and repotted, back in the pond. They are so heavy to lift when waterlogged.
Potted on some lettuce seedlings, self sown parsley seedling due for repotting today.
Spent an hour so watering in the evening.

I checked, tidied green houses at 5.30,watered some plants. Hubby has done a lot of weeding. We just had a decent shower. So I spent that time vacuuming and tidying indoors.

Followed the advice re gritting pots to try and combat Vine Weevil.

    Let's hope it helps.

Planted out some Hollyhocks and Heucheras. Made a start on my big border today - it’s full of unwanted Crocosomia, Spanish bluebells and Ivy unfortunately but there’s plenty of big shrubs like Philadelphus and Hibiscus so it will look good later in the season.

My gravel ‘beach’ area, by the pond, started quite neat and tidy many years ago… now it’s full of self seeded forget me nots and Aquilegias and now, it’s full of colour as the Aquilegias have cross pollinated and spread the last few years.

My garden and I live in South Wales.

Toms planted in their Quadgrows, temps are looking good for the rest of May so should be ok through the night.

Painstakingly applied weedkiller to all the bindweed in the border with a paintbrush today! Applied some to the seating area with a watering can and sprayed bindweed city. Haven’t used weedkiller in almost a decade but the garden hadn’t been maintained at all, I carefully dug over the border and removed every tiny spec of root I could find and I still have loads of weeds (esp bindweed) coming up :(

This area wasn’t dug over as it’s part of what we’re tackling in the autumn, so the bindweed is crazy bad here. Note how most of it is along the fence line, it comes in from the neighbours garden

Certainly not envious of that task, zugenie...hope you manage to stay on top of it.
