Hello all not got a computer to use at minute using mum's one it has gone in to be repaired well not sure how to say this but having such sad and horrible time here as I did not know the storm was going to be big one - windy weather came in late - never got to look at the weather forecast, I feel terrible as the chickens that got moved the pictures I added last week sometime of the coop/run and plot - the two bantams chickens I had moved to the polytunnel have gone (think to heaven) on boxing day got the coop cleaned for them
When we went to the allotment plot on Sunday morning 27/12/20 The whole polytunnel frame was on my neighbours plot with cover and poles snapped - then on my plot think the polytunnel frame knocked into the chicken house and run over as the coop was on its back lid open as the top lifts up all wet inside and could only find feathers of my girls one bit near house and one lot bit further away - so think a fox must of got them, feeling terrible as moved them in the polytunnel wish I did not move them, or did something else
So been having a rough time trying to look after other chickens at allotment, the bantam chickens were only a year and a bit old
Yesterday the Under Gardener 😘 spent time tidying the terrace and preparing for a possible colder snap happening. The canna is huge and in a full size dustbin ... it would take half the members of Norwich Rugby Club to move it into the garage so it is staying in the most sheltered corner of the terrace, with all the other hardier containers of plants and garden furniture huddled around it to keep the worst of the icy winds off its roots. Our fingers are crossed as it was a present from a dear friend, but if it doesn’t make it we will replace it with a banana plant which I know will make that particular friend smile ... eh @Hostafan1? 😊

Hi all was able to get a glove on my mangled hand so went out and raked level my new large raised veg bed that was piled up with a load of roughish compost (I know it's not exciting and took me ages as I went very gingerly). It's ready for topping up with another 6inch of my my best compost now. That's a job that'll have to wait as I'm way off manging a barrow.
Tried to order 20 bags of compost from B&Q but it's unavailable, was going to do it 1st thing and it was available then but was distracted by the junior team members and was roped into watching Jurassic park.
I looked at the Gov't website but it wasn't clear, well not to me. Not sure it's wise at the moment anyway, maybe when the numbers fall a bit, there's plenty of time yet.
