Made up another tier for the propagator, watched the whole of the old GH series The Ornamental Kitchen Garden on DVD. Made notes of things I'm supposed to know but always forget about the veg. Felt like a rainy day at school when we had to stay in for 'wet breaks'. Rain is good and needed, but hoping for a bit of sunshine tomorrow afternoon and some fresh air.
Turned 2 of the compost bins then mixed yesterday's offerings into a 3rd bin with more tree mulch. Repotted last year's fuschia cuttings, unbelievably they are trying to flower. Sorted through the heucharra division's for one to plant and others to pot on. Painted indoors and was very excited as my Empress Wu Hostas arrived 😀
A good job well done @Tin pot . We couldn't do very much this morning as heavy rain showers and we tend not to garden in the afternoon - time for relaxation, scrabble and eating Easter eggs (yes we are very frugal with chocolate).
Had a window of no rain, so just potted-on tomatoes and sowed some sunflowers: ‘Teddy Bear’ - an 18” variety, so can go in the border in the front garden eventually. I have selected some pea and bean plants for a couple of my work friends and just written a little tag with ‘instructions’.
No gardening, only been out to put the bins out, rain started again here just as I thought about going out to do some weeding.
Same here - finally had our paper/cardboard recycling collected! 🎉. First time in six weeks.
Looks like we kight get a bitnof sun early doors so I might get out to have my coffee at least. I really need some sort of rain shelter as the shed isnt really a relaxing place to be.
