but then you've got to back to bed for your post-breakfast nap.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
  • I bought a very nice tea tray from John Lewis ... they had quite a few to choose from ... but you’ve got one now so ....  :/

I can't do breakfast in bed either.  Once I'm up, that's it - I'm up.
My current gripe is the council [ I know - unusual eh?] who recently resurfaced our road. Up at one end is a 20mph sign painted on the road. When the boys came to redo the paint, they put one down at my end. Great - thought I. I'd previously asked about some traffic calming because of the idiots who put their foot to the floor to go fifty feet.
Two days later, the boys were back. I assumed they'd missed something, but no. When I went out with daughter, the sign at our end had been burned off. They'd obviously put it in the wrong bit.
What moron at the council thought it was a good use of resources to remove that, instead of leaving it where it would possibly have done some good?
You couldn't make it up  :#

Talking about the Oscars - who is that dresses all these women in such hideous creations?? Do the women never look at a mirror before they go out?? I didn't see one dress I liked this year! It's not as if they are trying to stick to a budget - I would assume most of these designer dresses are freebies.

I’ve been to a couple of Buckingham Palace garden parties: never have I seen so many people who seemingly got dressed in the dark!

I have managed to avoid most of the award programmes.  The only thing I've seen is Olivia Coleman at the Oscars.  She looked like she had been wrapped as a present with that ridiculous great bow at the back.  Actually, there was one woman at a music award who needed 5 helpers to move along the red carpet.  If they don't realise just how ridiculous that is .....

I love the way they stand there on the red carpet, posing for the cameras, all "Look at me, aren't l fabulous?" Er, no actually,  you look ridiculous. I can imagine the designers falling about thinking "l can't believe she fell for it!"
I think it was Harry Enfield who had a sketch where he had a shop called "Saw you coming" or something like that.

Don't most of the actresses get loaned the dresses. Perhaps they just have to take what's offered
    In London. Keen but lazy.

I think they should all be forced to watch that Harry Enfield character, Anni. He sold 'antiques' [or similar products] but they were really just a load of old tat and he increased the price whenever a gullible wumman came in. Brilliant  :D
The artisan bakery with the 'chocolate tart' is very good  ;)

Of course we can't blame these designers  - they've been living on another planet for decades. Planet Lookatthisoldsh*te.
