Someone on freecycle posted up that they were after a sedum and did anyone have any cuttings they could have. I didn't have the variety but I did have a similar one so I dropped it off at her house today along with a few other propagated succulants that needed a good home. she gave me a tour of her very impessive houseplant collection and traded me a nice euphorbia cutting too. It was really nice to chat about plants with someone after meeting far too many plastic gardeners recently.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Yikes @Obelixx - when did that happen?
    Might change my mind then....
I always wanted one after smelling the ones that were a hedge along a road I used to use when the girls were wee.

    Nice story @wild edges :)

We've got family staying so looking forward to the weekend as we don't see them very often. The weather looks to be foul though which is a shame. I'm going to do a quick transformation of granddaughters (she's now 8) bedroom tomorrow morning, just had new curtains and bedding set delivered. Hope she likes it!

My Rhododendron ponticum (or Azalea if you prefer) "Luteum"  was delivered first thing this morning, a replacement for one that died.  I was looking forward to planting it, along with loads of crocus bulbs and Alchemilla mollis in the same border, but rain stopped play.  So I can enjoy the pleasure of anticipation for a while longer.  Maybe tomorrow, when I will probably have nothing else to do but can't go anywhere because I'm on standby for my voluntary job in case someone has to drop out.
I think you might mean azalea pontica / rhododenron Luteum.
Rhododendron ponticum is a whole different kettle of fish.
I've seen it named as every possible combination of those terms: the one I mean has yellow flowers with an intense carnation scent.

It is lovely but the RHS site says it is listed on schedule 9 of invasive non-native plants - https://www.rhs.org.uk/Plants/15369/Rhododendron-luteum-(A)/Details
I’m confused now ......if its listed as invasive, then why are the RHS selling it for 35 squid 🦑 ???

It’s described here as quick growing and reaching 4m x 4m .... how big is your garden @josusa47 😶 ?

Yikes - It's half that price for a 5 ltr pot at the nursery I go to. You can get it in a 20L pot for that price there.
It does seem odd though. If it's 'invasive' why promote it then?  :/

I find it odd too but apparently schedule 9 means plant, prune, propagate, dispose of with care rather than a total ban or notifiable plant.

£35 seems a lot to me too.

Don't need a new cooker. Don't need a gas fitter. Fixed cooker in 30 secs with a screwdriver😇
