    @Janie B  That certainly looks like my sarcococca confusa.

    Will you let us know in a couple of hours if you can smell it? I was amazed at how strong the scent was once the plant had warmed up. For my nose it was not dissimilar to lilies and lily of the valley.

    I am indeed fragrant @Papi Jo - not unlike Mary Archer if my memory of her husband's trial serves me right!😜

    Good to know your shrub is scented @Janie B - we just need some warmer days so we can smell them outside as well. When my shrub is a little larger I intend to have a few cut stems inside throughout late winter / early spring. Better than chemical air fresheners!

    Just come in, and the kitchen still smells lovely thanks to that little bunch of sarcococca! Can't believe I've had it for so many years, and never knew how divine it smells...
