  • Lovely Agapanthus @Hostafan1 - nice white flowers too - we only have the more common blue flowered Agapanthus.  We have been asked to look out for gaul (I think it is called that) where the flower heads curl over and the flower is barely grown.

mercifully no sign of it here yet. Got more than enough to contend with, lol

  • Yes, it is a busy time of year and again we are spending much time watering to keep things alive (veg, potted plants etc.). A picture of my one and only Lupin flower - I have to admit I can't grow Lupins and give up on them and yet my neighbour has them seeding in her garden

    My flower of the day:-

Scabiosa Ochroleuca grown from seed. A lovely pale yellow and only 4-5 Cm across.

The gardens and plants on here are truly fabulous, wow, @KeenOnGreen!

Well, that Coreopsis, not so drought-tolerant after all! My fault really, I should have paid more attention to the weather forecast and kept it in a cooler shady spot until the current heatwave (40ºC yesterday) passes. Compare and contrast with the pic at the end of p.108!

Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.

    What a shame! Maybe it'll recover. Where there's green there's hope😕
    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • I agree B3, a good drench of water, some shade and perhaps remove the flowers and any buds - there is hope of a revival.
