Testing a newly repaired camera today. Our garden really comes alive at this time of year.

    Stunning photos @steephill
  • Glad I took a pic of my orange poppies before storm Hannah took them away!  Thankfully I have a lot of other buds.
My red oriental poppy is showing no signs of flowering just lots of foliage, has tripled in size this year.

Lovely pictures, everyone. My oriental poppies are in the same non flowering condition, but I’m becoming increasingly fond of the Welsh poppy, which flowered even in winter. It seeds everywhere if you let it, but such beautifully creased flowers!

The sanguinaria looks beautiful, @Liriodendron. I would definitely like some in my shaded garden.

Great photos, @steephill. Very good use of depth of field . May I ask what camera & lens you used?

Beautiful photos. Here is a snap of my first rose.... can’t wait to see this climber in full bloom as this will be the first year that it has been large enough to get much of a show from it.
Marne la vallée, basically just outside Paris 🇫🇷, but definitely Scottish at heart.

Sorry no idea what name it has but yes it’s a climber which I bought online last year, it was a tiny bare root plant and honestly I did not think it was going to survive as it immediately got attacked by vine weevil but it persevered and now it’s to the top of the trellis and budded like crazy!
