Wonderful autumn colour and lovely frosty plants. My autumn colour is only just arriving but this morning’s frost might give them the hint...

Thanks for your appreciation, @chicky and @pitter-patter !
The mystery plant is a Japanese aster 'Blue Star' see http://www.rezeau.org/wp-garden/en/kalimeris-incisa-blue-star-2/
Right now my Malus 'Evereste' looks like a Xmas tree full of little red-orangey balls; see below...

Lovely pics everyone, haven't got much colour in the garden, apart from the odd rose still in flower but they've stopped now.
  • Just noticing some colour - the Arbutus seams to be in full flow with flowers and fruit. Lovely copper beech hedge and some new colourful evergreens for a new bed I am making.
  • Such lovely pictures here, enjoying the change in seasons,Rambling RosieHesperantia LilyIvy Pelogonia trained to climb up wall with a struggling white Star Jasmine - needs attention during it's dormant period soon the diminishing flowers, the Autumn berries and beautiful leaf colours. Gazinia that was divided during Spring/Summer and is still producing buds.

@batwood14, what are those evergreens? They look lovely.

  • Hi newbie77 - I have bought an Azalea Evergreen - Johanna, Abelia Grandiflora Kaleidoscope x 2, Nandina Domestica Obsessed, Nadina Domestica Lemon & Lime x 2, Pittosporum Tom Thumb x 2 and Loropetalum Chinense Black Pearl. I wanted some interesting and contrasting colours and flower forms for a new bed I'm creating.
