  • Some lovely flowers in your garden @1Runnybeak1 I don't know Gaura is it perennial? If you grow your Glads on the allotment @GWRS do you have/know the insect that eats the leaves, I can't say I have seen one here but something isn't right with the leaves. When I first got into serious gardening I wanted spaces between my plants, but now like you @purplerallim I enjoy seeing a riot of colour intertwined with each other.

    Thanks @B3, another flower of that dahlia has just opened and it’s a double, must just be what it does.

    @Valley Gardener, LEH is often horrible here in the heat, pale dirty yellow with pink spots and purplish streaks, but when she is good she is really very good. I wouldn't have any hesitation in growing her in the UK.
