Lovely Thalia pix - one of my faves too. Mine are only just starting to open.
If you like the pale ones, Papi Jo [ I do too ] Silver Chimes is also beautiful if you don't already have it. Wee bit later than Thalia, and with a creamier, lemony cup.

Love that snake's head frittilary, p.patter. I really should invest in some  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I just love how it matches the Heuchera leaves.

Thanks for the hint, @Fairygirl I will check those Silver Chimes (if I can find them a suitable spot). Not so easy to mix bulbs with herbaceous perennials in the borders. And you have to remember where you planted them when they have disappeared from the surface.

Lovely combination of that fritillary and the heucheras, @pitter-patter !

    My pics of the day.
crab apple 'Evereste' featuring last year's apples and this year's flower buds!
Nandina Domestica ‘Obsessed ® Seika’ new shoots (quite red)
Young pieris japonica 'Cupido' planted in the middle of Angelina stonecrop
  • An amazing picture of the crab apple @Papi Jo How is that even possible? How did the apples not get eaten by birds? 😲

Thank you Chicky, yes it's a good one but with plum trees have to wait 5 years before they'll fruit, but it's worth the wait. :)

Thanks for your kind comments Hazel.  The house is georgeous, but only half of it belongs to me (including the front door).  It was divided into two by the lady whose family owned it from new.  Her son lived in the other half and immediately set about removing all the original features.  Luckily this side remains intact.  Must admit I would have loved to have seen it when it was one house.

What a lovely morning for wandering round the garden and wondering if the agapanthus and salvias are going to show any signs of growth. Meanwhile I took a couple of pictures of the few things in bloom.
