I had quite expected to wake up to torrential rain this morning we’d been told is on it’s way ... but it’s a very still morning with occasional soft drizzle ... ‘our’ family of starlings are sitting on the tv aerial across the rise ... they look as if they’re waiting for something ... the clouds have that slightly yellowish tinge to them ...
ive moved trays of seedlings and planted up containers under cover ... thankfully the tomatoes are still in pots and small enough to put under some shelter ... the canna could go back into the studio but it’s just to heavy to move without us doing our backs in ... as long as we don’t get hail it should be ok 🤞

We have a window of this morning and early afternoon before heavy rain sets in, apparently. I have a load of bedding plants to put in the front garden, but OH needs to finish cutting the box hedge before they can go in. Trouble is, l seem to have spent most of last night dreaming about planting them, so l feel as if it's the last thing l want to do for real ! Dry and light cloud, 12 degrees at 7.55 am. Glos.
Grey overcast with rain forecast off and on for most of the week, have job's to do both inside and out at allotment this week so will just have to work with the weather.

We've had 6mm of rain already this morning and it continues to rain steadily. Not too heavy though, which is good because I planted out a number of smallish vegetable plants yesterday and I'd rather they didn't get washed away.
Apparently London has had its month's-worth of rain in the last 24 hours. It's our first proper rain for months and months. Unusual for June in the South East and our reservoirs will be glad of it. More is forecast for the rest of the week, but more showers and thunderstorms, not continuous pouring like today. These damp weeks might be enough to head of any potential hosepipe bans or river supplement for this year in the south-east.
