Mild with some sunshine but now interspersed with rain and grey skies. The wind is much stronger too, supposed to get up to Force 6 or 7. I know it is a controversial topic, but they want the searching to restart - but surely the sea swell and safety of the aircraft will be in question now.
GD I agree we have wind at 32kn gusting to 55kn that's right on the edge of helicopter weather and not nice in a boat so not a lot of point searching in that sort of weather.
Unfortunately it looks like the plane did a belly landing and went down virtually intact as there has been no oil fuel slicks or wreckage on the sea surface.

Yes, that is what the search "experts" have concluded too Hampshire Hog. There are so many unanswered questions in this sad case, and let's hope from this disaster stricter rules for flying small planes, at night and without full checks come into force.
