Raining now, the rain overnight came at the right time for me, planted out runner beans and leeks over the last two days, and potatoes earth up and growing away nicely, this rain will push them on, make up for the dry spell last year when the potatoes didn't last past September, always aim to have potatoes in store up to December, along with carrots and parsnip.

It's our Liberation Day holiday here today, and true to form the wind is blowing, it has been damp although now the sun is trying to win the day. I do hope those celebrating on the piers (live music, entertainment, food, stalls, bands and fireworks tonight etc) don't get blown over.
