Well we finally got the rain we needed here on the south coast of West Sussex. Proper water butt filling, pond filling drenching from the early hours of this morning which has now stopped. Seems like the first real downpour since March, and maybe more to come over the next week.
One satisfied gardener here, we had substantial rain last night - well reasonably so. The water butts are now full and we won't need to water the garden for a few days at least. Quite windy and cloudy at the moment. For the first time in so many weeks I can congratulate the weather men for getting it right - it had to happen sooner or later, just a shame it took them so long with all their so called "technology".
Rained heavily here all morning but dried up about 2.30 so was able to get outside and potter for a bit. Just had another heavy shower with more to come I think. Water butts full.

My next prediction is "the sun will be shinning" wont say where or when exactly but in the next day or so.
