Pleasant day lifting first batch of garlic for storing and stringing it up to dry in the garage, but getting warm and muggy here in Essex this afternoon. Hoping it brews up into a decent storm and saves me doing the watering tonight.
Once the rain stopped (end of last week) we started with lots of Sea Fret.
The heavy rain turned to the fine drizzly stuff which seemed to murge with the Fret.
We are on the Yorkshire Coast and it seems this mist is coming in with the evening tide and staying. It is still warm which is strange as the Sea Fret normally cools us right down. One thing it is doing though is messing with my hair. It is a frizzy mess 😖😖
Biblical rain in London last night. Rarely seen such persistant volume of water for hours. We’ve been praying for it for months, and boy did we get it. Heading down to the allotment now to see how badly it is (almost certainly) flooded.
I was right about not watering last night, steady rain for hours overnight in Essex as well. Veg plot looks in great shape as it was steady rather than heavy rain. A few areas of standing water but it was much needed.
