I woke up from the wind and rain outside. I thought I need now to cover the compost, it's getting too wet. I can't count how much water came down as the water tanks were already full in December. The last time we had so much rain was winter 2017/2018.
I do hope we will get some sunshine in between. All the rain is nice, but plants also need sunshine, not just water. At least, it's around 10 degrees Celsius currently.

    I my garden.

  • Wet. Very!

Windy night in the Fens. Think something must have blown over outside because the dog kicked off about 2.30am. I had a good look outside but all was quiet, FB local group page has warned there's someone going around breaking into garden sheds. I was pleased to see the polythene tunnel (small one) was still intact, I only put it up yesterday, so far it's past it's first test.
Trying to be the person my dog thinks I am!

    Cambridgeshire/Norfolk border.
  • Very wet and windy night
A lovely morning so far. Not sure how long it is going to last.

Saw a lady dog walker have a fall on the Village Green yesterday morning. She thought she had broken her hand/wrist. Having only just  recovered from breaking the other wrist.
The ground on the Green so waterlogged there are large areas under water so consequently very slippery..

1mm of rain overnight, better than nothing. The soil is nicely moist and workable and we have hazy sunshine now and forecast all day, but I'm working shortly so no gardening for me :(
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
  • Overcast but mild, temps in the low 30sF to start then climbing to the low 40sF.  Snowpack measurements this morning average 16.5 inches deep.
    New England, USA
Metacomet soil with hints of Woodbridge and Pillsbury

Typical early Spring here - rain with (very) occasional sunny spells. A tad warmer this week though.
My garden and I live in South Wales.
