Woke up to snow on the hills and a few patches on cold surfaces in the garden. It looks like we might see some sun later though even if we can't feel the warmth with this strong wind.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
Late last night got very windy. It sounded like a train coming through. One of the neighbours came round this morning. My mini polytunnel had taken off like a balloon, despite two layers of bricks all round holding it down, gone over three hedges and gardens and ended up on top of his conservatory 50 yards away. If it hadn't been for the lower Oak tree, it would probably have ended up on the A52.
