Grrr, four inches of new snow yesterday, then another ridiculous warm-up and rain overnight, so everything is sloppy and slushy. Tomorrow will be below freezing, so it will be a solid block of ice...again. I have a feeling we'll pay for this later in the winter with some whopping nor'easters.

Metacomet soil with hints of Woodbridge and Pillsbury
Mostly dry here, sunny at times but breezy. I went out for a walk around Potteric Carr nature reserve - lovely, no dogs allowed so you can look around while walking, not at the ground in front of your feet the whole time. I did a bit over 7 miles, then it started getting dark.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
I managed a dry walk with the dog, the rest of the day was quite reasonable. Dry, sunny intervals but a chilly wind. We had a dreadful night. Torrential rain and howling wind, easing off now. I am hoping for the sunny intervals after lunch to fit in a beach walk. Strong wind forecast with a few "showers".
Wet here in Kent, when I went for the newspaper this morning. A little sun mid afternoon, but now my OH has gone for a walk, it looks like rain again. I'll have a hanger ready for her sodden cagoule!!
