    Thanks for that info Dove. It had been recommended in several books/mags so I wondered how good it was.

    Very impressive lists, everyone, I haven’t really got the hang of winter flowering stuff yet, but some things surprised me by how long they kept flowering - Salvias Greggi and Black and Blue just finishing, amenomes and geranium rozanne still pumping out the odd flower, echinacea Magnus Superior went on ‘til a few weeks ago, roses Emma Hamilton and Lady of Shallot in bud again, hellebore niger looking fantastic, spring crocuses came and went months ago, lots of Pyracantha and Cotoneaster berries... so some colour but not a lot. We have heavy frosts at the moment and due -6 next week so that should finish off those things that mistakenly think its Spring.
