Talk about going over the top! There is only one thing missing from the Hedgehog Restaurant...

    Ha ! Love it 😁
I haven't seen Mouse for a couple of weeks @Purplerain, he's probably off on tour again, playing the piano !
I have had a busy day potting up yet more foxgloves (16), that's the lot now. The garden is rammed and there was no room on the bench for OH to sit and have his coffee this morning. I did offer to move them but he wandered around inspecting things instead.
There is a bit of a hint of Autumn coming, the heleniums and helianthus are starting to flower, and l can see the grasses just starting to peek through. I have taken some osteospermum cuttings,  but the penstemon and salvias will have to wait.
Hoping everyone has a pleasant evening,  l am off to cook the pasta  :)

Just a quick visit before I go to bed. I have a lot to catch up on over the last couple of days which hopefully I shall be able to do once peace and quiet become the norm again.
Little ones visited the allotment this afternoon and plenty of compliments. "Beautiful, best garden in the whole wide world ever" coming from a five year old.
Looks like hedgehog is well pleased with the new lighting at the restaurant just missing the entertainment factor.
    Short and sweet I'm afraid.
    Catch up tomorrow hopefully.

@Fran IOM, glad your allotment got so many compliments,  5 year olds know what they're talking about  :)
@Hazel-1, l thought maybe Chummy had had work done ! He really is a beauty @Purplerain, l have just gone back to have another look !
We have rain here as forecast and l expect @Valley Gardener has the same, so l don't think there will be much gardening done today, if any.
Time for a late breakfast and the supermarket.
Have a good day everyone  :)

  • I got the wooden planter filled today, taking advantage of the pleasant day before tomorrow's deluge.  There are Autumn crocus in there too,and a space next to the White Ivy for the Cyclamen, but as it's in flower,i'll leave planting that till the heavy rain has gone hopefully.  Very pleased with the result as it's only cost has been plants. You can see the nail holes in the wood, which had previously been used for stud walling.
I was allowed to remove them! My contribution!

Nice work @Valley Gardener, hope your OH appreciated the skill and craftsmanship that went into removing the nails  :)
That red coloured heuchera is a lovely colour.

@Valley Gardener Your planter really looks good. Really good colour choice too.
Now that my "visitors" have departed I hope to get back on the allotment as there is plenty to do. I think a lot of plants now need to be cut down or dug out. Primulas are all back in flower again.
Finally Mouse is now back home from his travels...

Lovely set up @Valley Gardener. It will look great in all seasons and that's what you wanted.

Glad you survived the visit @Fran IOM and hope that mouse has returned. Keep an eye out for him @AnniD and report back 😀.

Poor reviews were being posted on Hogadvisor...
Hedgehog didn't like the new fancy slug garnish that was being used...

..and a passing cat complained about the glassy eyed stares of the bouncers.

No sign of Mouse, (I wonder why?!) but I will keep an eye out.
  • Well that's brightened my day Anni, Hogadviser....love it, The owls look great,i wonder what the cat thought?!😁😁  Brilliant!
