    I'm not ready for 2019 :s
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Happy New Year Pat ! :)  I have been at Sydney Harbour on Australia Day and that was quite a party. The New Year Sydney fireworks are on my bucket list. I'm watching Adelaide v Sydney in the Big Bash at the moment, nearest l can get to Oz !

Anyway, back to the curmudgeonliness. I have been having a conversation with the neighbours about how early the fireworks will start tonight. We sometimes get them around 5 to 6pm, but that's for the children's party nearby. It's when they start at 11pm, that annoys me, and then they are still being let off for the following 3 or 4 nights.  >:)

Well prepare to be annoyed tonight.  The fireworks are generally set off to welcome in the New Year and that's at........ midnight. :D

Exactly ! Midnight, not 11pm. I sit there muttering in a curmudgeonly fashion "Can't these people tell the time ?"  ;)
