Oh, if you have a “cause”,
I’m sure the would-be feminist sisterhood would jump to your defence and try to
shut up all such traditionalists by calling their comments “sexist”.
If the “reveal”
happens publicly for the public to enjoy, then the public has every right to
comment, surely! Long-lensed cameras
intruding in to private moments, in private places, is an outrage, of course,
and no one should have the right to comment.
However, public display is for the public's attention, admiration and/or the rest of it, I think!
A few months ago, a couple in their 30s moved in to the neighbourhood. They don't have any children, so they're rather keen on parties and pubs.
I saw them earlier today and we chatted a little about the Christmas break. They told me they'd found a pub in the next village, which offers wonderful food, so they'd been going there almost every day.
One of the regulars they saw there was a woman in a wheelchair who was always alone and only the staff would go up to her and exchange very few words with her.
These new customers, decided to befriend her. They went up to her, introduced themselves in the friendliest way possible and, after a very short chat, they discovered the lonely old woman in the wheelchair was the pub's owner!

I trust social protocol will be observed!
Would you not attract full attention to your “cause” if you disregarded it?
I have a dream that my.. children.. one day.. will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character
Martin Luther KingDisregard social protocol? I know what you mean but why offend or enrage sensibilities?
