@LG_ nothing changes. Maybe there's a Thomas Moore lurking on the back benches😕
Yes, but remember how he ended his life.  In unprincipled times morality is utterly subjective....

Did you notice how Boris has reverted to the Worzel Gummidge hairdo? What's that all about?
Were the Tory leadership voters swayed by his neater effort? Perhaps.

    .....
He's too busy being nasty to the members of Her Majesty's Opposition, thus no time for hair care.

I can only interpret this as: "If you Remainers don't let me have it my way, I'll set my mobs on you; so, if you don't want to be murdered, do as I say"

Is he prepared to see utter civil unrest and worse?

    Truly DISCONCERTING.

The language of the current PM, his adviser and some members of the present cabinet are rather terrifying.  We used to tolerate and even like each other, and our neighbours; but, now we are told those who don't think exactly as we do, or let us do as we please, are our mortal enemies.

Dear God, do, actually, help us and save us from ourselves.

“Of course the people don’t want war. But after all, it’s the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it’s always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it’s a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship.

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger.”

Caravaggio was an amazing artist though eh? The way he captured the contrast of dark and light reminds me so much of Tracey Emin's work.....
