    Have just used up some apples and left over pastry to make apple roses, a bit fiddly but look lovely and taste nice too.

    Large pot of beetroot, ornage and chili relish on the hob.   Has apples, onions, ginger and garlic too.  Hope it tastes good as that's the last of my beetroot crop.

    Sorry @Obelixx just seen your ?. 

    These are apple roses. Pastry , apple, apricot jam and cinnamon or nutmeg. A bit fiddly but taste lovely, good for using up pastry and apple.😁

    This is out of my hand written cook book, must have had it some time this recipe,  hope it's readable @Obelixx . Two points make pastry as thin as possible, can use shortcrust too,  and don't put too much jam on as its a devil to roll if slippery.  😁 Enjoy.

    Made 2 jam tarts and 1 mince tart.
    I don't eat them hubby have them with some fruit compote.

    Homemade jam and fruit from the garden.
