Mushy peas were great @B3 and the fish was good but I've concluded I like "world food" better so no more F&C for me.  Take Away Friday will be spicy from here on.

Some things are better as happy memories.
Any idea how to make my bread leaden?

I think Waitrose stock Cranks bread, if you have one near you.

It's not far.  The thing is, I have to pass Sainsbury's to get there. It doesn't always seem worth the effort.😐
I'll go and have a look. Thanks @steephill. It beats trying to reproduce it😊

I used to make a ‘Cranks style’ wholemeal bread years ago ... quite a heavy loaf ... lasted well without staling and great for toast. If you want I could write out what I (think) I used to do. I know I used molasses in the mix.

    This is a boozy question.

I've just found two tall jars full of damsons picked in September 2014 and bottled with gin and vodka respectively.  Having bottled the resulting liqueur what can I do with the damson?

Obviously not give them to the chooks but can they go on the compost heap or maybe make something else?

That would be great @Dovefromabove. I suppose you'd get molasses from a health food shop.
I'm going to try Waitrose soon to see if They have the bread..
It makes great toast. I let it go almost cold so the butter doesn't soak in.
Off to look at your link @Obelixx
I'm definitely going to try that one. Just made a load today so it'll have to be a couple of days before I try it.

How about a boozy fruit tart? Any recipe for plum tart should work.
