For those of us who have been through a few different versions of the forum, this one is such a massive improvement, that imo. we should leave well alone.
It ain't broke, so don't fix it.

    I agree doc.
The photo thing was a big issue for many people, but I don't know if that's been reorganised. I don't have any problems with it, except when waiting for very large pix to load on threads, as some people still have difficulty resizing.
When anyone has a problem, or wants to suggest something, they can always contact NoraGW directly with their concerns.  :)

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

My only fault is the large photos that are allowed now, so I only participate in half the threads,   That’s could be a good thing, I’m usually talking out of my BS anyway, and I’m sure I’m on most people’s ignore list as whatever I say, someone comes along after me and says the same thing 😀😀

How could we possibly ignore you Lyn?    ;)

Just recently photos have been loading quicker on my phone ... don't know if that's just a quirk of my phone or whether something has been tweaaked ...

Lyn - photos are still painfully slow for me but that's the internet connection here.  I too find that people don't read a whole thread before adding their two pennorth which is often a repeat of what's already been said.

As for ZeoZero - this forum has been going on in one form or another for over a decade and has been thru several "updates" and "improvements", the latest of which is quite recent and went thru Beta testing with older members before being launched.   It's far more varied and far more often visited and contributed to than any other gardening forum I've tried and has all sorts of members from well-informed generalists to highly specialised gardeners to giving of their experience, knowledge, wit and humour without pause to help anyone who has a question or a problem to solve.

It's free to use and very lightly modified for which I am grateful so I think maybe you should consider just accepting it as it is and adapting to it.   I don't get any email notifications except for PMs.   I always login via "Recent discussions" so I can see any new postings or theads and decide what is of interest to me.

I belong to various groups, they all work differently. Some I like, some I don't. I've never felt that those I don't like should change for me, other people might like them the way they are. If I really don't like a group I leave quietly and I doubt if anyone misses me. :)

At the risk of repeating what has already been said.
    It is free.
Not hard to use. Very nice from my point of view.
I have tried to be courteous when posting photos, resizing them. Sorry to anyone who has slow connection problems.
it is a shame for people like Lyn who contribute advice, would like to participate but can't.
It is not a criticism of the forum,  or users, just unfortunate some people can only see the bigger picture.  Yes a bad joke sorry.
(I thought big photos meant physical size on screen, but learned it is the kb mb differences.) I am a techno numpty, if I can do it.
Now you can put me on ignore if I repeated too much.  Pardon moi, the newness has not worn off yet. :p
    And it is free.....

sorry to post again, edit does not work.
I meant by bigger picture "joke" we could try to be considerate and make them smaller so all people could see /participate.

@Rubytoo ...  to Edit, click on the cog wheel then click in the little box that says Edit and the number of minutes left ... that'll activate the Edit for you.   :)
