I think that Nigel has separation anxiety. he doesn't like being parted from Monty or his ball. Now he is getting old, Nellie is there as a replacement for when he goes.
Our Lab does too. A real daddy's boy except when he's being soppy with me instead. Doesn't make him instructive when gardening tho.
I too find Beechgrove has a lot more content and I love their trials and weigh-ins and their persistence wth identifying the problem with taht conifer hedge experiment. Great for those of us who haven't the time or money to learn the hard way that Monty gets it wrong sometimes. How long did it take him to own up to that box mess and get rid? How many times has he re-done that mound garden? Spencer sweet peas have no perfume - really?

I like Tony B - I think he is a good gardener and yes, I did feel sorry for him at the revamp. Not many gardeners I don't like - apart from the guy who used to present a long time ago - I think he came either before or after the Geoffs. Peter Seabroook was his name.

He stopped being a regular on the 'Springwatch/Autumnwatch' programmes after Autumnwatch 2016 ... he has 'other projects' on the go .... not all to do with broadcasting
Gosh, it doesn't sound like he wanted to go though, despite the exciting ''other projects''. He was just removed from the show without any particular reason and replaced by somebody else. Shame...
I thought he was a bit giddy when presenentng and that put me off. Not keen on Strachan either. Tried watchng the one form the USA and I'd much rather learn about UK flora and fauna to be honest, especially what's going on after the long hot summer and how it's affected timings, breeding success etc.

Personally I liked Martin , seemed a bit eccentric which I think helps presenting a programme like Autumn watch , currently the new one , Gillian seems nice but !! The BBC keep messing with things that work like Drive time on Radio 2 at 5 o’clock , I no longer listen to it

I noticed that Martin Hughes-Games is no longer on Autumnwatch - what's that all about??
It was already bad when Kate Humble left, but now the program lost the rest of its charisma.... Well, I don't think I will continue watching it
