Thanks thanks Dove. Yes it’s bedn good this time, hence the photo.
Good morning to you, Hosta and Wonky. Lovely to see her back on the forum.
Hubby was working in Quarantine in Darwin when the Concorde came to Australia for the first time. His team was supposed to inspect it but the plane was late, so he got to see it the next day. It must have been about 1972, I think. Certainly before cyclone Tracy in December 1974. I remember it gliding down from the sky to Darwin airport. We could see it in the distance from our place. Fantastic.
That's a story and a half Hosta, re the Piper Alpha man. Morning all/afties Pat. Lovely spring blossom You had a long day chicky- we won't ask, it's ok I'd probably have preferred the feathery Ospreys too R'girl I've just remembered that you often get fighter jets [?] skelping up and down some glens up here. Think they do it in the Lake District too. Good practice avoiding the summits It's a bit unnerving because you hear them for ages before you see them. Always feel you have to duck.... Think we all thought it was LilyPilly that was going to Ireland Liri. Hope the weather improves a bit for you - I'll get the wand out Better shift and head to work. At least it's a bit drier and brighter. Goldies at the feeder too - they were all hiding yesterday. Have a good day all.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Morning all a foggy start to the day here since 3am had the mournful sound of ships fog horns out at sea. I was lucky enough to fly concord London Bahrain on a number of occasions was always something different about flying in concord just a feeling but you could feel it in the air as everyone got on board. Anticipation and some excitement I guess.

Council are not giving us a TPO, but won't explain why. I asked a tree surgeon I know to have a look, and his view was it would be impossible to access the branch, without doing so from our land. Am hoping this may stall the whole process, and that neighbour will get bored.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Hi @punkdoc .... I cannot imagine any tree surgeon would go onto someone else's property to work on a tree without clear permission from the property owner ... that way leads to certain litigation surely? Can/has your tree surgeon friend given your tree a clean bill of health so that NDN can't say it's a potential source of danger and to cover you in case of insurance claims?

Good to have something to wave at anyone blustering about risk etc. and shows you're acting responsibly.
