Beginner non-toxic small outdoor plant to bury dead fish in?

    Sorry if this is too great a digression, but have you heard about the eccentric millionaire who bequeathed his collection of modern art to his terrier?  Those paintings really are the dog's Pollocks.  

    In my childhood home, dead piscine pets went down the toilet.  We called it burial at sea.  Though, on reflection, they were probably consumed by rats long before reaching the bounding main.

    I suggest the OP invests in a trowel and takes a walk to the park under cover of darkness.

    Instead of burying them , why not keep them warm , wrap them in cling-film and put behind a radiator for the winter >:)

    Another idea is to take the fish and hide them under the seats of friends' cars.

    Plant it under a cistus  to make it smell better

    If you have those hollow curtain rails you could store the dead fish in those? Wrapped up of course.
