  • Mrsglaze, hubby has been in the motor trade since he was 15, (now 61) I keep asking him why they still build cars without indicators!!  Were we all taught, look in the mirrors, signal your intention, THEN carry out!

A minor grumble from me today. @Jacqueline29 has posted another site crashing thread. No doubt full of beautiful photos that can't be seen, which is a shame as I always used to enjoy her garden updates 😞.

I'm not sure if she's even aware that it happens, or if she has her notifications set to pick up when she's been '@ tagged'? Can't post on her actual thread as the whole GW site crashes and kicks me out when I click on it, so thought I'd post here instead and hope she sees it.

If you're out there Jacqueline, could you maybe reduce the size of your photos next time? Pretty please 😊.
I'd love to be able to see your posts again but the huge pics make it impossible, and I know I'm not the only one.
Hope you've had a glorious summer Jacqueline, with lots of happy gardening time 🌻👍

    Who is cheating who?
You know when you buy a piece of meat and there's a great wodge of fat hidden underneath. Is it the supermarket cheating me or is it the meat packet cheating the supermarket or are they in cahoots?

Complain and find out.  It's the only way.

Have looked at Jacqueline's thread and it didn't crash but is painfully slow to load so I've left a post asking her to reduce the image size.  We'll see.

  • Take it back. My mum does. I wouldn't like to be trying to get one over on her.  :/
She takes everything back if she's unhappy with it. She checks everything carefully before she buys but woe betide the SM trying to slip streaky bacon into a back bacon pack.

The trouble is, if you take it back, there's nothing for dinner.
I wish that they had to declare how much water they've  adulterated meat with  'for added succulence' my ar**!
When you add that to the percentage of fat, you're not getting much meat for your money.

Something from the freezer?  pasta?  Take photos?   How swindled do you feel?

Spend a bit more for a smaller piece of well-hung meat that's better quality?

Or find a proper butcher so the meat isn't pre-packed.

On a different tangent, is anyone else worried that the forum has taken a dangerous lurch into Ken Dodd territory? "What a beautiful day for running up to a dandelion and shouting 'BOO!'"

  • To all concerned especially Obelixx & Kitty 2 I deeply apologise about the size of my photos and it crashing, I was not aware of it. I have been unwell and been involved in a car accident, but okay. So once again so sorry will put it right next time.
