This is the first GW I haven't fallen asleep watching for ages. A lovely change. I live in France and speak reasonable french, but i would not want to go on French television and speak it.

I can’t really think of a way to include India in my garden as I havent been there on my travels (yet).  I’ve often heard that you should try to make the garden reflect yourself, and I did like the constant references to “abundance”, I really would like an overfull garden - not the empty lawn I’m staring at now.

Maybe something from a Singapore angle might find a place.

Lots of plants we have are from the Himalayas, as Carol pointed out, rhododendrons for example.
I've been lucky enough to have travelled a lot in India and we owned a home in Goa for 7 years. It's a fabulous country with some of the most wonderful people I've ever met.
    Devon.

What about an azalea :)  http://www.cotswoldlife.co.uk/homes-gardens/gardens/the-indian-azalea-1-1633093

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
