Dove knows best Hosta best try freezing them. I know we keep the confit garlic in the fridge and it's fine but don't want to make anyone poorly!

Bums!  I was happily planning to store my newly dried tomatoes in jars of olive oil with garlic and maybe some oregano.   Plan B then.

Would storing the tomatoes in sterile Kilner jars make a difference?

Evening folks - I've somehow managed to miss posting here today.
Been nice later here, much better temps for me [under 20 Hosta  :D ]  Did a little deadheading and tidying of sweet peas etc after getting some more bits from the GC near work. A couple of little plants found their way into the trolley. They'll go in the 'fence window box' at some point soon. I lost a few plants in the dry spell - I couldn't find the energy to get a hose up there, especially with the malfunctioning arm. Not used to so little rain in there, so they popped their clogs. Shame - but that's how it goes.
I see there's another 'thread started by someone'. Best completely ignored I think - just trying to goad.
Trying to decide whether to go back outside, or just drink tea.....

Take you tea with you?  Its what we did when we got home from work.  Feed cats while tea brewed then off down the garden with a mug

I often do that Obelixx - it depends what I have to do when I get in from work too.
I can do a couple of things before it gets too dark, so I'll catch you all later  :)

Internet been down all day so have just read back
re tomatoes last year I scooped out all the flesh and placed them in my new drier (the one Pat told me about ) I made sure they were absolutely dry and stored them in sterile Kilner jars. It has worked a treat and I shall be doing it again this year.
hope everyone ok I have to work fast while internet working!
