Joyce - I took rubbish out to the bin half an hour ago - it's 11 degrees  :D
My older daughter can use a machine, but youngest can't - or won't. I've always sewn and done all kinds of stuff myself so I suppose it's the norm.

Fairy, I gave in at 8.30 and put the heating on even though I have a lightweight fleece on.

My lounge is quite warm Joyce, but I can understand you putting the heat on. My bedroom's really cold. I'll probably just take a run and jump into bed later  ;)

Still sleeping with just a cotton duvet cover here and the windows open but the shutters down as fly screens.

Possum is not learning to sew this summer.  Too much time lost to moving apartment in Namur and now we only have 10 days left minus outing and I have 8 curtains to make and one big one to alter and she wants a jumpsuit too...............  Maybe that'll have to wait for Xmas.

Still sleeping under just an empty duvet cover and with the windows open here too ... but the duvet is folded at the bottom of the bed in case we want to grab it and pull it over us in the night.
Planning a trip to visit niece next week after her jamazing exam results ... maths, physics, chemistry, biology and eng Lang all A eqivalents and the rest all Bs ... now she’s fulfilling her ambition and heading for army college for A levels and onwards to be an engineer ... very proud of her 🤩
Now its time for bed and to pluck up courage to listen to Jaws again 😱

    Morning all.
Clearly I must be the worst parent in the world @Obelixx because I'd tell Possum to : learn to sew, buy all her own clothes/ curtains, or PAY me to do them.
When my daughter asked me if I would A: teach her to drive, or B: pay for lessons I said " let's go with C: get a job and pay for your own lessons, the same as I did"
In bed at 8.30 last night and now wide awake.
Enough drizzle to be  annoying , but not of any real benefit .
We ran out of bottled gas ( for the hob ) last night as Hubby was making dinner. You should have seen the look he gave me, like it's MY fault!!
    Men eh?

Good morning @Hostafan1 🙂 We had some rain overnight ... it’s dry now but I’ve just heard the forecast ... there’s more on the way.
OH is working today ... he’s taking his manager some courgettes ... she said she’d love some ... wonder if she wants some tomatoes too 🤔

    Morning all.
It looks like I've joined insomniacs not-so-anonymous.  :(
Hosta get a double thing. My mum has one so there is no running out, just switching over. I really should get one myself.
My dad taught me to drive, (Control freak! :D)
I bought my first sewing machine when I was 19 or 20 and a book of "how to do it" and some shears. When I got my first house at 23 I bought the curtains too long so that I could cut the bottoms off and make matching cushions. :D Get me!
It's definitely kicking on towards Autumn here.
