    The sort of gardens you see at Chelsea are big budget and mostly beyond the reach of ordinary gardeners.
    Walk along any suburban street and see the flowers that people choose to plant - many folk like 'naff' and this show is more accessible and relevant to them than some others.
    Any kind of gardening has to be better than none and ideas can percolate and tastes change through participation.
    I would be wary of using 'amateurish' as a put down on a forum largely peopled by amateurs, many of whom have outstanding gardens!

    I think it was featured on GW a few months ago. It looks amazing.
  • Arley Hall also has a very good nursery, with many unusual plants.
