Tatton Park Flower Show 2018

The flowers really were this vivid!

Part of a huge display of Rudbeckias.

These Alliums were covered with honeybees from a hive nearby.

Hi Alan.  What's the flower in the 2nd pic?
  • It is Clematis 'Taiga'.

I was there on Thursday Alan - it was joyous. I'm going to need a bigger garden!

Pretty huge image files @Alan Clark2 in Liverpool. Keeping under 1mb helps everyone see them. x

I never know a) how much to compress the file, or b) how many pixels the image should measure, in order to maximise quality but minimise loading times. I just guess, and I have no idea how good my choice is.

If you look on the file info, it should say how many mb the image is.

Something like this below, whether on Windows, phone, ipad. There'll be a drop down menu which tells you how big the file is. You can get free, quick and easy file reducing software too.

  • I know the images are mostly ~500Mb each and 2000 pixels on the long side. I don't know what the best values are.

I suppose it's a bit of a "Marmite" thing, but I think that clematis is hideous. Soz.
Pretty much everything else, I  love.

No problem with picture size here. Every time I look I think how stunning your pictures are Alan.
