I'd love to get some tough boots Frank but as far as I know, they don't do them in a size 4!

I wish I hadn't decided to use onions as cut flowers. They look great but they give off the weirdest smell. :s

Neglected a Forsythia for a year only for a low hanging branch to root unnoticed behind the shed. It is now a 6 inch diameter stump that i cant reach to cull!

Gave a Poppy a chelsea chop 2 weeks ago. Wentva bit far and now its dead as a Dodo.
My guess is , it's not dead. They often sulk, big time, after flowering/pruning. Give it time and water and I'm sure it'll bounce back.

It's hard to describe. It is a bit oniony but I mixed the flowers from the elephant garlic in there too so I don't know if the smell is clashing. It's kind of chemically but a bit foodie too. My wife thought we had a gas leak and was having a panic until she worked out it was the flowers.

I checked and apparently the chemicals released by onions and garlic are very similar to the methanethiol used to taint gas. Wikipedia dresses it up with fancy words but basically says it smells like farts. :|

Lizzie, size 8 stuffed with old socks. Think of what sludging about in those will do for your physique no Gym fees to pay. Good for flattening slugs and snails you do not hear the crunch.

Not sure if this is on the right thread - maybe should be on 'Things I wish I had done better' anyway

Why is it, however carefully I look each day and harvest, that there is always at least one Cornichon the size of a courgette?
