Unfortunately, this seems to be the way of things, we had a problem with the first house we bought, neighbours that is, firstly 2 dogs locked inside, all dacy from whe she went to do her horses at 5am, she worked part time no kids, in her twenties, her Mum came round at lunchtime let the dogs out for a pee that was it.  They barked at everything that walked past, so loudly our windows rattled, a Germn shepherd, who had only been chained as a guard dog and was nasty,
and big shepherd cross, the cross used to come and poo in our garden, one day we asked her to clear it up, quite politely, she said it was her boyfriends dog (true) and she wasnt clearing it up, when we moved in, she was friendly, TOO bloomy friendly, started going out to garden centres with her, then she wouldnt leave me alone, used to stick her head in my dining room window, keep coming round, I worked nights had a sign on the door, DO NOT DISTURB NIGHT SHIFT, she would STILL come and knock the door!  I started hiding under the window cill when she stuck her head up.Her bloke often went away with his job, sodogs could bark 20 hours out of 24, I couldnt sleep, night or day, was so wound up.  Eventually went to the council, they wrote to her not saying who complained but she "knew" it was me, council woman suggested I WALKED HER DOGS for her, she was big, tall, youngstrong, she could manage them, I am 5 foot, worked full time nights, had 2 dogs of my own! She came round a couple of times didnt hear them (sods law) said there wasnt a problem, long after people in the NEXT ROAD said they could hear them and would have backed me up, she then threw all the huge dog poos into our garden.  We moved not for that reason, she moved as well, we made the peace, so there was nothing to declare. Next inbetween 2 profffessional couples, in their 40s, parties till 3,4,5, in the morning one side, kids from hell the other, stayed 12 years, wasnt like that when we moved in, nice neighbours one side, 2 toddlers the other, husband at screaming point by the time we pu the house on the market, told him him couldnt complain now.  This was the retirement (for me) move to near the sea.  Said I would only accpet detached this time, doesnt make any differnece, one side, lovelly, good mates, the other, broekn fence we have replaced 6 panels, althought its not "ours", weeds, brambles, ind weed, dandilions, its the brambles that have broken the fence, the front is just weeds, which all seed onto ours.  Our last house, the other half of the semi "party animals", the weeds in their gutter were a foot tall, the gardens front and back a mess, people would say they love out house but didnt want to live in between these 2, had to know 50k off the price to sell it.
