HH. Was there supposed to be a quote? If you're confused, have a moan or better still a rant about something else and send the thread into pastures new along a road less travelled. To be honest, apart from pp' s sewing melt-down, we seem to be veering towards the positive and could do with getting back on course:o
Have you noticed how people have been exercising their hobby horses on random threads? I think that this should be done in the privacy of Curmudgeon' s Corner. When people make a blunder, they know it. That's why they ask for help. Telling them they shouldn't have done it is preaching to the converted.
Maybe @B3 you were right to blame it on the heat! I feel really alive today and not at all curmudgeonly, brain sharp instead of feeling slightly braised and mushy, more control over my flights of fancy and....... I've switched to another phone provider. sorry about that. Time to start another 'happy in the cooler weather' thread?
"The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it." Sir Terry Pratchett
Back to grumping then. Why, now that it is cooler and I can move without melting, do I feel so lethargic and slow? Should be bursting with positive energy.

@herbaceous . Nope. When the weather turns, we're going to blame it on the cold. @Obelixx. It's the curmudgeonly way to feel. I'm going to feel powerful curmudgeonly in a couple of weeks. We have to go away next week and our gardening neighbours are away too. So I'll come home to a parched patio unless we're blessed with monsoon conditions. If I prune my container grown fig right back, has it a chance of survival? At the moment, it needs water once a day.
Can you gather your pots together and water them with a sprinkler on a timer? or stand them in a plastic paddling pool? I used to do that before I had so many pots I changed to the sprinkler method.

I'm going to stand it in a very large bowl but I thought it would need less water if there were fewer leaves I will move things into the shade . The dahlias and hostas will come back next year I suppose. The annuals, I'm not expecting too much.

Oh yes and have you noticed I have at long last worked out how to use the quote thing properly
