    @Lyn I'm considering a laurel hedge after all that malarkey. Are they good for nesting and wildlife? They look a bit 'open weave' to me but preferable to my first idea which was Thuja.
    Absolutely thick and dense, loads of shelter for birds. Not if you don’t keep cutting it back though😀😀😀

    That's good to know. It'll be pruned to within an inch of it's life.
    So....do I need to cut it back or what???

    I’d just choose’ what’ if I were you!😀

    I’m growling here now, yet another thread I would like to take part in spoilt by over large photos,  overloaded and had to wait while it reloaded again,   doesn’t seem much point in looking at any threads with photos.
