I had a friend who had a teenage son with severe learning disabilities and severe autism ... he loved his trampoline ... even more he loved the feeling of fresh air on his naked body ... it was very hard to dissuade him from his favourite activity ... it was one of the few things that would pacify him when he was having a difficult emotional episode .... thankfully his neighbours were very tolerant but they did warn their visitors not to look if they were of a sensitive disposition
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I'm quite lucky, I don't complain about my neighbours kids clattering around on the laminate flooring above me and she doesn't complain about my singing (who would tbf ), we all have to tolerate others within reason.
My neighbours builders started up yet another project at 8am, which usually means dogs barking all day (although they generally do anyway), late finish (midnight on one occasion) and screaming at each other. Had an aftie off and was downcast it would be wrecked. Fortunately their daughter has come over to pick them up, builders dispatched, dog gone and peace.
It will start up again tomorrow but it's always nice to know you are not alone. Also that there are other fantastic neighbours who make it worthwhile.
My neighbours could have rebuilt their house a couple of times over in the over 10 years I have been here. I think what happens is that they get cowboy builders who work weekends and nights, the work is poor and it is rinse and repeat. I saw their kitchen extension going in. There were no foundations as far as I could see.
Sometimes i think I’m a bit remote here, living like St Francis, but there’s something to be said about having a nearest neighbour over a mile away. Even then, if they have their chain saw going and the winds in the right direction we do moan between ourselves.
