They're coming into bud so they won't be tall.  That's good . The fourth  one is the runt of the litter

I was wondering if they keep growing a lot when they start to flower of basically stall. If they stop growing, mine are going to be fairly tiny.

I haven't a clue. 4ft ish would be nice but as the fence under trellis bit is 5ft I'm mildly concerned.
    Showus yours!

Mine aren't clarets (I will get some next year). Mine are GW freebies from Jan, Velvet Queen, supposedly (a bit like Claret) but they don't look anything like the pics. Mine are straight yellow and no sub-buds, which is disappointing. I will take snaps tomorrow. x

Mine are dark and brooding. It was a compromise. My husband wanted big leery yellow ten footers.  He pretends he's not disappointed - tough. To be honest, I thought they'd be higher and not quite so brown. You win some....

I think mine are 'Velvet Queen' but they don't look anything like. More bog stanard yellow. And they are insisting on facing north. I have had words, but they went "la la la. We're not listening". "What about the tournesol business?" I asked. They just kept staring at the hills.
