They may have rotted, they re best started off indoors, they need warmth, the corms should be showing above the compost, so they don’t get water in them, dig in a bit and see if they are still there and firm, then lift then so only half the corn is showing.

They should be up and flowering now, I would suggest next year you lay them all half buried in a seed tray, indoors, when the shoots are about 3 to 4” tall, pot on individually, still leaving the corm proud of the compost, they’ll be up and flowing in no time. This was June a few years ago.
