As a child I kept them as pets, I even won second prize in the village pet show with them! I also used to like taking pill bugs and using them as mini bowling balls.. I wasn't all sweetness and light lols.

They do have a terrible reputation across the pond for destroying crops. I have never heard that over here.

I just ignore them. I've never noticed them doing any harm.
I even leave them if they're mixed in with my potting compost.
In London. Keen but lazy.

I like them.. they are adorable.
They are also better mothers than many of my students have.

Wood😁 you all like some of my wood lice. I have pants full and they nibble on everything😆

I think they are one of the gardener's best friends, up there with earthworms and pollinators. My home made compost is probably 80% woodlouse poo.
